SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador- Sunday, July 2, 2023, was Day 1 for the sport of archery at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in El Salvador.

Virgin Islands’ Ritseeniyah Georges entered the tough Women’s Compound Individual competition against strong contestants from 14 different nations.

Contestants shoot 6 arrows in 12 sets for a total of 72 arrows.

A downpour of rain created challenging conditions for the VI archer from her 9th set.

Today, July 3, 2023, will be the elimination round.

Meanwhile, track athletes Rikkoi A.R. Brathwaite and Beyonce A. Defreitas will get into action today.

Brathwaite will compete in the 100m semi-finals starting at 5:00 PM and Defreitas in the 100m semi-finals starting at 5:30 PM.
