VG Summer Jam: Magic’s & In Dah Zone win ahead of playoff weekend

VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Magic’s and In Dah Zone were in winning form when play in the Summer Jam League continued at Jeffrey Caines Arena in Virgin Gorda this past weekend.

In Dah Zone started the weekend in the best possible note, extinguishing All Deh Smoke 80- 41 in B Division play on Friday, October 18, 2024.

Kajeal Telemaque 15 points, Corey Clarke 14 points, Delonte Hillhouse 12 points, and Jaden Abrams 10 points were the leading scorers in the demolition.

All Deh Smoke’s resistance really only came from Junior Douglas, who mustered 15 points and 10 rebounds.
It was the lone game on Friday, as Gilas Pilipinas earned a walkover win against East 2.0 in Division A.

All Deh Smoke vs Just Play

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, All Deh Smoke revived from their defeat against In Dah Zone to choke Just Play, 94-47.
Junior Douglas, with 28 points and 16 rebounds, was again the top scorer for All Deh Smoke and in a winning cause this time.

Ricco Bailey supported with 16 points, while David Tyson and Jaadon Quashie had 12 points each.

The tame challenge by Just Play was led by Diallo Turnbull 17 and 15 rebounds, and Darmauri George 10 points.

In Dah Zone wins again!

In Dah Zone then recorded back to back wins when they made light work of Development 2. The final scoreline was 88-43.
Kaleb Lawrence had a game-high 21 points and 20 rebounds.

Other contributions came from Kajeal Telemaque 19 points, Delonte Hillhouse 16 points, and Joel Mars 12 points.
Development 2 found some strength in Jamarley Rimarez 14 points, and Zion Phillips, who registered 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Magic’s & Without A Doubt battle in thriller

The feature game was a thrilling battle between Magic’s and Without A Doubt in Division A, with Magic’s finding the right spell to edge their opponents, 69-67.

Asim Beazer 16 points, Demoi Dagou 14 points and 13 rebounds and Asheid Frett 11 points were the engine for Magic’s.

Stephano Paul, with 17 points, and Devante Brewley 13 and Delbert Samuel 10 were the main fighters in the losing cause for Without A Doubt.

The playoffs for the different zones begin this weekend at Jeffrey Caines Arena.
