Good lord. All the money the bvi government spending on the police force and uk police officers training etc. are just red herrings and irrelevant to the issue of reducing crime in this place

@cnn. If you were typing as you are now, and someone kicked in your door and shot you, how would the police know until a call was made for them to come to where you are? Crimes are committed all over the place and the criminals will not do it in police sight, so the police cannot be present when it happens. I do agree we need police visibility all over the place to discourage so many bad things from happening and it would be safer. These shootings and burnings are personal among themselves with their gangster lifestyles.

While no one condones crime, some of you post and believe that crime of this nature and others only happen in the BVI. Take a look at the other islands like Guyana, Trinidad, Uk, US & others and all will be surprised how bad crime is in these countries on a daily basis.

Guyana is not an island and their crime are mostly not drug related.

Comparing it like that you should also provide information about the size of the population for each country/state

They meant us virgin islands and but I think they have a point that crime is everywhere no matter the size or population of the island. And WOW is right the crime or worst happens else where in the Caribbean.

Just various criminal individuals and gangs settling disputes with other fellow criminals by reducing their smuggling resources. Police investigations will just confirm the destruction and ID the bodies. No need to interfere with the decline of the BVI smuggling industry. Eventually all the smugglers will kill each other and destroy all their high speed toys.
