ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) has indicated that whether the territory is 80% vaccinated or not, the Virgin Islands (VI) will fully re-open in June 2021, given his government has done all it could to balance lives and livelihoods, and to encourage vaccination.

The Premier was at the time speaking on today’s Saturday, April 10, 2021, episode of ‘ZOEJ SAYS’ with host Zoe J. Walcott streamed live via JTV on Facebook.

Gov’t done all it can – Premier Fahie

“We will open because we have done all that we can… all the vaccines that we need to bring us to 80% [vaccination] we have, or have it on the way,” Hon Fahie said.

The Premier further said that persons now have the option to go to private doctors and get vaccinated, “We are looking at opening up fully come June… all the measure will still apply, but you can’t stay close forever,” he said.

Meanwhile, Premier Fahie said that the current batches of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines on hand, if they go unused, the vaccines will be returned to the UK.

“If it comes down where we have recognized that we are going to pushing the vaccines more, and persons decided that they do not want it because that is their choice… it will not expire at the hands of the Government,” he said.

Vaccines will be returned if unused

Hon Fahie continued, “I now as leader will feel fully at peace of mind, that throughout the whole pandemic, that whatever was best to balance lives with livelihoods, that this government did it,” he said.

The Premier said with the expiration date of the current batch of vaccines fast approaching, he noted that when it is returned to the UK, the jabs will go to persons who will want it more than Virgin Islanders.

Despite this, the Premier and Government have been encouraging Virgin Islanders to get vaccinated as a matter of priority, so that the territory can achieve herd immunity against the virus and return to its pre-COVID economic state.

But that’s the kind of people that got vaccinated, fools that would come under the news comment section and ask things like that, which could be answered with a simple phone call. Fully dunce.

Thank you for your help brother. Me and my zillions of friends look forward to having lots of new flesh to eat through in your unvaccinated community when we come over in June. Lots of lungs to infest, lots of blood clots to fill up your brain ( assuming we can find one ). We especially like the old and fat and diabetic as their immune systems are very poor and we overcome them very quickly.

          Thanks for your BVI Love.

You all need to know that hotels and restaurant workers have families that need to eat and have bills to pay....Oh and dont forget lots and lots of us can vote and voted for this government...Not because lots of you doing well means that all is well...People leave from Haiti. Cuba and Santo Domingo in small boats loaded on ruff seas looking for greener pastures just to give their kids a better life. Sometimes they dont make it. But its a risk they willing to take to make life better for themselves and their kids. Thousands have perished in the processes. That should put things in perspective..We all have different circumstances.. So. Lets be positive and give suggestion that will help us move forward. Keep it positive. Dont try to hault the process and the progress..I am with the VIP on this move...Its a positive move..

Thank for the "promise" should the rainbow shine again in the BVI. When you've done the best that you can and others dont understand all you can do "JUST STAND".
Now to an applause for COVID 19 stand down. To all blacks with predisposition to clotting look for signs of STROKE. Health department increase surveillance and education to the public. No more quarantine. Wear your mask in close spaces.
I want to be free, I want to be free. in Natures Little Secret or One love BVI or what ever you may call it. Free land and sand.
