CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI — A 26-year-old man was found dead in Bovoni, St Thomas on Saturday night, October 19, 2024, the [US] VI Police Department has confirmed. The victim, identified by family members as Venquon N. Richardson, was discovered at approximately 8:35 p.m. at the Gas Works area, after police responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the vicinity.

According to VIPD Director of Communications Glen Dratte, officers arriving on the scene found Richardson lying unresponsive on the ground, with visible gunshot wounds across his body. Emergency Medical Technicians were dispatched to the site, but upon assessment, they determined that the victim showed no signs of life.

The circumstances surrounding Richardson's death remain under investigation, and authorities have not disclosed any information about potential suspects or motives in the case. Police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
