UPDATE: Yan Edwards is man killed in EE
Mr Edwards was fatally shot at a bar in Parham Town around 6:00 PM on Monday, February 6, 2023.
“The RVIPF can confirm that one man was fatally wounded following a shooting incident near a bar in the Parham Town area. No other information is available at this time, Police stated last evening.
Mr Edwards was one of two persons found guilty of the 2011 murder of Keri Harrigan in March 2013 and sentenced to life in prison with no eligibility for parole.
The conviction was subsequently thrown out in the Court of Appeal in April 2018 and a new trial started.
Mr Edwards was reportedly out on bail.

Man gunned down in East End
Information just reaching our news centre is that a man, who was recently released from Her Majesty's Prison, has been gunned down at a bar in East End.
Our news centre has the name of the individual but will not disclose at this time.
The fatal shooting incident, the first for the year in the Virgin Islands, occurred around 6:00 PM.

There are more than 75 plus unsolved murders in the British Virgin Islands and the unsolved murder rate is climbing every year. We are just in February 2023; another young man is gun-down.
It is time to pray seriously for our male youths. Are they our future leaders? What happen to the MALE organization that was established to help or reach out to the young men in this Territory?
