UPDATE: Vehicle in Pasea accident was hit from the back - driver
“Somebody hit me from the back and my vehicle swing,” said the driver of one of the vehicles. He further alleged that the taxi that hit him from behind continued driving without stopping to render assistance as required by law.
“I had on my seatbelt so I wasn’t really hurt. But when the vehicle hit me I swerve off the road,” said the man, who had been taken by ambulance to the Peebles Hospital from the scene of the accident.
“When the person hit me they drive off,” he said. The driver has requested the witholding of his name which we have.
This news site today October 21, 2014 made contact with Public Relations Officer of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Diane Drayton from whom we requested an update on the investigations. However, up to post time the update was not forthcoming.

1 hospitalized following Pasea accident
PASEA, Tortola, VI – One person has been taken to the Peebles Hospital following an accident tonight October 17, 2014 at Pasea, Tortola.
When this news site arrived on the scene officers from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) were in the midst of carrying out their investigations.
Ranks on the scene confirmed that the accident took place at approximately 7:30 pm.
Details are sketchy but this news site understands that two vehicles made contact while travelling east on the northern carriageway a short distance from the Delta Petroleum Gas Station.
Police Public Relations Officer Diane Drayton confirmed to this news site that one person was taken by ambulance to the Peebles Hospital.
