Antigua advertising 365 Beaches - do you think they have a lifeguard on every one? People have to be responsible for their behaviors. We can save you from yourself.

This is sad. These people come here to have a good time and forget to proceed with caution..If you going to drink or smoke up.. They live careless..Maybe Govt need signs that said " If you are not a good swimmer or under the influence avoid water that passes your shoulder when enter Beach waters." Just a thought, anything to safe a precious life..

Sad sad news. RIP, and condolences to the family and friends of the surfer.
And SO sorry for the thoughtless and uncalled for blog comments made by people who neither knew the person, nor knew the exact situation that caused their death.

@ Mike Larry. WTF is wrong with you? You have no compassion for someone who lost their life. Did you know him personally to make a stupid statement like that?

I think CPR training should be something that the government offers on a large scale because it can save lives. There are alot of people who don’t know what to do if someone is in distress and needs immediate help.

This was not related to ruff surf. It was a sudden cardiac event. Please don't comment when you don't know the facts

I hope this message finds its way to the young man that was at the scene. My friend and I are ICU nurses. We drove by that day and ran down to see if we could do anything to assist. I just want to acknowledge the young man that was doing top notch CPR. I don’t know who you are or what your background is, but I want you to know your determination, strength and vigilance didn’t go unnoticed. There were many heroes at the scene that day, including a couple doctors, but I want you to know that despite the outcome you are a true hero!

At least this dude seemed to be enjoying himself at the end. That all any of us should ask for. Rest in peace man and rot in hell Mike Larry (obviously a coward hiding behind an alias). Now get out of your Momma's basement and do something positive.
