UPDATE: Three 'local' men arrested in relation to murder of Jason L. Vanterpool- RVIPF


Virgin Islands News Online first and accurately reported this morning that police had arrested three men in Butu Mountain sometime around 8am.
"Officers from the Special Investigations Unit, supported by other members of the RVIPF, executed three search warrants on three premises at Butu Mountain this morning as investigations continue into the murder of Jason Leonard Vanterpool whose body was discovered at his Butu Mountain apartment on 12 October,” the press release issued this afternoon stated.
Virgin Islands News Online had also first and accurately broken the news of the discovery of the bullet riddled body of Leonard Vanterpool, 28, in October, 2015.
According to the release, three local men have since been arrested on suspicion in the murder and are currently being questioned by officers. Two of the men have since been discharged and the third is still in custody being questioned in an unrelated investigation.
“The Special Investigations Unit thanked those members of the public who have already come forward and assisted with information into this violent crime. Investigators, however, continue to seek the assistance of the public.
The RVIPF is making an appeal to those people with information to come forward. Persons can give that information directly to detectives within the Special Investigations Unit at 368-5682 or call the Miami-based anonymous Crimestoppers number at 800-8477,” the press release added.

Three held in police raid @ Butu Mountain
Ranks of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) reportedly conducted a raid at an apartment at Butu Mountain and held three persons this morning, November 12, 2015.
According to reports, police visited the apartment just before 8am.
Shortly after the ranks came out of the apartment with three men. They also allegedly took a number of items that were sealed in no less than four bags and about two containers.
Information requested from Police Information Officer Diane Drayton was not forthcoming up to publication time.

Funny that you would say that when the very same ppl who either up & down robbing, doing drugs or selling them r@$$ isn't willing to go out & look work. What are they doing with themselves? I'll tell you...dropping out of school at a young age or being kicked out for bad behavior, sitting around smoking & running woman, living home with mommy still etc. Education free in the BVI & I guarantee you none of them even attempting to get some form of education but rather prefer to come after ppl like myself who getting up everyday to go earn an honest dollar to support myself and my kids, to rob me. They fact of the matter is they don't want to work hard for nothing they just want easy money & is that same easy money that going be the downfall of them
