UPDATE: St Kitts native charged for pulling gun on police
Randale Hanley, 30, a native of St Kitts residing in Parham Town, was charged with carrying an unlicenced firearm and three counts of assault on police, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) stated today, August 23, 2021.
Hanley was also charged with driving without a driver’s licence, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving an unlicenced vehicle.
He was taken into custody following an armed confrontation with Police along the dual carriageway.
According to police, around midday on Thursday, officers of the East End Police Station attended the scene of a lone scooter accident near Delta Gas Station where the rider had sustained visible injuries.
While Police waited for the arrival of the ambulance, the rider took out a handgun, pointed it at the three officers and then attempted to escape on foot into the Johnson’s Ghut area. He was subsequently captured by the Armed Response Team.

One motor scooter rider is in custody following an alleged armed confrontation with Police along James Walter Francis Drive on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), in a press release today, August 20, 2021, said around midday yesterday, officers of the East End Police Station attended the scene of a lone scooter accident near Delta Gas Station in Pasea where the rider had sustained visible injuries.
It alleged that while Police waited for the arrival of the ambulance, the rider took out a handgun, pointed it at the three officers and then attempted to escape on foot into the Johnson’s Ghut area.
He was subsequently captured by the Armed Response Team.
According to the RVIPF, the male is presently in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.
“Charges are pending upon release. Investigations are ongoing,” the RVIPF said.

When it had certain police on that force he would be dead also.
My people of the Virgin Islands, as the late Omar Wallis Hodge would have said, please for God's sake don't let arrogance gets into your heads or else the consequence would be worst.
If this was true, that guy deserve to be dead. He was out of order. Them wouldn't go look work to do but riding and driving with them tools on them looking for trouble. He need the MAXIMUM PENALTY.
Thank God he didn't pull the trigger because we would have had some dead Cops today.
