SPOONER’S ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Our News Centre can confirm that the man gunned down in his vehicle early this morning, Sunday, July 28, 2024, has been identified as Spooner’s Estate resident Jareem A. Todman.
Mr Todman, a businessman, died following gunshots while in his vehicle in the area close to the Road Town Market Square.
Police are still investigating the cause of his shooting and we will bring more details once they become available.

Man killed in shooting near Road Town Market Square
A man was reportedly gunned down while in a vehicle near the Road Town Market Square early this morning, Sunday, July 28, 2024.
The identity of the deceased is known to us but we will not disclose until confirmation that next of kin has been adequately notified.
Police are investigating.

Honestly between the governor & local security council you all are abysmal failures to the point of being a sad joke.
Its not personal but these murders happen in town way too often, the place where the police headquarters are located, plus another station. More officers imported yet non to witness, non to fight back, all undercover but not seeing shhhh until its stepped on & stinks.
Town is supposed to be very secure while you constantly argue police can not be everywhere, why are they not there??????
There are 350+ officers and EIGHT - NINE ways in/out including the sea as 1. I may be missing an entrance/exit point or two but cmon get your shhh together.
Are you really upholders of the law when you cant even stand guard successfully??????
Guess what, no excuses those 8+ entrance & exit into & out of town can be monitored with a device call a camera, 8 drones can be stationed at those points and elevated remotely at a moments notice. Every one of these assassin are trying to get away, none of them stay for the fame or expect to die like the trump shooter.
These type want to live free.
If they are caught or killed every single time it would not happen over & over. Secret service director resigned after trump got grazed.
When will those in charge of our security resign for the deaths that have occurred under their term of responsibility?! Obviously they are not capable nor mentally prepared to secure us, they have the money & manpower already, stop feeding the people bull crap.

There are too many examples which is why there are no excuses. How about the man who got shot in the bar coldly, during a robbery. How about the man shot lying in his home watching TV when a murder ran through and shot him on a whim. You & that line of thinking wants us to rely on the assumption that people with evil intentions are moral while executing crimes.
Had that cold bar robber who shot an innocent person, been doing the Aladin robbery instead of a bar robbery then they may want to test their toy and the people would have been blown away in road town with no chance except to TRY running & hiding. No armed security nothing. Clean get away after doing whatever they want.
Thank goodness they didnt but the mercy & decency of a criminal is not what our security should be based on!
Some will be surprised of the amount of money running through this place. So stop blaming the police, they have to control of when these hits are ordered. Plus these police will not there go up against these man when they are in the act. Alot of innocent ppl will get hurt.
Moreover, in some quarters, leadership is define as guiding or directing a group towards a new direction after critical analysis of tge sicial, economic and political condition on the ground. Having done that they develop a plan with strategies to resolve the problem.
On the other hand, it was just a matter of time before someone made to pay for that major drug burst earlier in the year, but unfortunately there are more to come

All these young men dying just like that - some from accidents and incidents, some being gunned down, shot to death, killed on scooters etc.
Then we have another set of young men sleeping on the street, begging for money and becoming mentally insane from drugs and whatever the cause.
Then we have the other set ending up in prison or involve in criminal activities, some do not want to work and is no benefit to their families, the church, their communities and society as well.
Soon it would not have any man for the young women to married to and young children will be growing up in a fatherless society.
NOTE:
There are more than one hundred plus (100 plus) Unsolved Murders and in the British Virgin Islands and the list is increasing daily. There will be more!
Prevention, where there is no vision the people perish. He didnt rest easy, thats a comfortable lie. Resting easy is passing away at old age into a final sleep. If he had such money and was in such problems he should have already bullet proofed his car.
Real security is in preparation not reaction.
