Affable & caring taxi driver Collin V. Maynard hospitalised
- Family asks VI to pray for him
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Described as a man with a heart for people especially young people who wish to further their education, Mr Collin V. Maynard is currently in a critical state at Peebles Hospital.
Mr Maynard is a well-known taxi driver, loved for his ability to keep a smile on persons' faces equally as he would always be a fun laughing and jovial person. He is the husband of former Labour Commissioner Mrs Olivine Maynard.
Contacted by this news site this morning on hearing the news of Mr Maynard’s condition, Mrs Maynard said her husband was hospitalised recently and his condition is "very serious" but being the strong woman she is and the love that surrounds the family, "We are keeping hope alive."
She encourages all his friends, loved ones and otherwise caring persons of the Virgin Islands (VI) to bear their family up in prayers.
Mrs Maynard reflected on her husband's love and compassion for especially children attending the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College as many a times he would give them rides to college.
"And he would tell you when they go to pay he would tell them keep the money to buy their lunch or snacks, he understands what it is to have a child in college. So we are praying for him, it's good to keep hope alive,' said Mrs Maynard.
