As to the holistic suggestion, it needs to start from the top. It’s not too difficult for anyone reading BVIs online media to discern that corruption exists at the highest level. That needs to be stamped out. Few are ever brought to account, notwithstanding tens of millions of wasted/missing funds. It’s not too difficult to figure out education is not a prioprity here. It should be. What programs do we provide youth during summers? They could be learnimng how to swim, operate a boat safely, or they could be learning vocational trades by helping to rebuild schools or fix hoime for the elderly or doing summer review course. Endless possibilities but here there are zero . We leave youth to their own devices, literally. There’s plenty of studies now that show that this can have a negative impact It’s also pretty obvious that there is little or no plan for the future for the Territory or it’s youth. Lamentably, there appears to be no vision for the future of the Territory.
As to prosecution, the foundation rests on good police work. Do we have that here?
Only a matter of time before they get locked up.
Mr Premier, If We Forget God satan will RULE.
Banco, First Caribbean, Scotia, First Bank and even if they went through the side by Maria's Hotel, Social Security Board, the Romney building more than likely have cameras.
Known to have criminal record (s).
Matthew 7:6
Probably need revive some cruel and unusual punishments for these types. Public hanging for instance
Check CTL, Drakes, and paint stores.
The BVI is unsafe. Visit at your own risk.
maybe learn to spell before embarking on racism
Under no cover
Prepared to kill
Ports should be on the look out and officers should be trained to identify suspicious persons.
DO NOT BUY JEWELLERY FROM ANYONE OFF THE STREETS. IF THE USVI HAS PAWN SHOPS THEY SHOULD BE ALERTED AS WELL.
They are going to CUT and RUN!! Too much of a potential risk for them and their customers.
Secondly they had to enter the area either driving or riding
The whole public needs to assist with this one. If we don't get these punk many will think it's okay to do such.
And when we do get them hit them 25 years plus give them all long time to think of what they did.
I do not feel sorry for people who go and commit crime then looking people to find remorse for them.
No I do not. They was not thinking about the public when life was good and getting monies or drugs from these criminals
Lock them they don't even desire bail
I do not know why the one SCB get bail snd I'm sure the lady from the bank out on bail too. But if it was a man they wouldn't of see the light.
Whole system causing the whole problem
Of note is that their faces nor destination was listed. Sooo what they look like and if they already left and where to, who knows? Brazen high midday Saturday...they were confident. A high up assist they must have had, in my opinion.
Every person with that locs style man or woman should have gotten picked up since this afternoon for questioning.
There are no patriots in this country. No one will stand up and say they know who did this even though there are many here who are well aware. A set of $%^&g cowards inhabit Tortola and the country is turning to shit. $%^& this place.
The people here in formal and illegal authority realized that open crime was not good for the BVI and the little flare up that happened here was stopped. Anything that happened was by and large between the players in the illegal shipping industry and did not interfere with Jo Public. Everywhere was safe.
Today’s shannagins has the danger, if allowed to continue to damage the entire economy of the BVI. Those who were babies and children 20 years ago need to understand that no matter how desperate, there are something’s that you don’t do because it will affect your friends and families long term future negatively for relatively small gain in the short term. Mainstream crime is not cool and is a threat to the economic wellbeing of everyone in this small society and damages most those that already have little. I hope that again those in the top of their respective industries will use their influence and understand that everyone looses when today’s actions are allowed to happen.
Nevertheless, the culprits can be narrowed down to one and only one ethnicity and heritage. Loathsome reptilian cursed earthly forever needy dark thankless creatures.
Thousands of locals/residents rely on the ships for income, we need to band together and stop this madness. Worst of all lots of local kids at the park on weekends, thank God noone was shot.
Who in their right mind would want to bring their customers to a cruise pier destination where armed and masked robbers are free to roam and discharge their weapons.
If the powers that be don’t take care of this situation, say GoodBye to the tourists!
Grand theft auto 5 Tola heist edition. Watch the movie the town to Be inspired by this
If you or your children were there while those criminals were shooting high powered rifles you would be singing a different song hopefully this time not off-key.
It is time you grow up and stop being juvenile in your thinking, speech, and actions.
Killing tourism is the last straw for these VI..
The demograhic of these VI would have to be changed in a manner that would dilute the criminal human element and those with the proclivity .
An easy excercise .
Ballo….
What is seriously being done to address the criminal conduct in the territory; the political leadership have crime to be a joke while the under cover white police are here to place our people in HMP
the people of this country have to come together in the effort to pull-down the bad behavior
So bad you a man. Why run after committing crimes? Punk @&^.
Yes every Country has crime but it is the ratio.......
That said, armed robbery anywhere is never going to boost tourism.
