UPDATE: Missing youth reports to police station with explanation
Police in a statement today said family members had reported Mr Pope missing since last week, which prompted search efforts.
Police said, however, that when Roshanio reported to the station, officers noted he was unharmed and appeared in good health.
He also reportedly offered a brief explanation as to his whereabouts during the search period.
While the RVIPF did not share the details of the man's explanation, the RVIPF added that they sought public assistance in locating Roshanio Pope last Thursday, after his family reported that he had not been seen since Monday of the week.
Searches were subsequently carried out at several locations both on Tortola and on Virgin Gorda, however, Roshanio was never located.

20-year-old Roshanio Pope reported missing
LONG LOOK, Tortola, VI- Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating Roshanio Pope, 20, of Long Look who was reported missing today, June 29, 2023.
Pope’s family reported that he was last seen on Monday, June 26, 2023, dressed in a black t-shirt, short grey pants and black crocs. He wears an afro, is slim built and black in complexion.
According to a press release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), Pope frequents The Stickit in Long Look and other areas in East End.
Persons who have any information regarding the whereabouts of Roshanio Pope are asked to contact the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339 or 368-9593.
Persons can also give information anonymously through Crimestoppers by calling 800-8477.

He just looking attention. He is not missing the last time they found him in the bushes smoking weed with his partner them. The police need to charge him for starting an unnecessary scare and wasting their time and resources. Roshanio go your @&* home. Yes I know your parents might get on your nerves so you buss off to get away from them. But this is not the way to do it.
