UPDATE - Missing man's boat found off Puerto Rico

Paul Stoutt was reported missing when he did not return to the Territory as scheduled on Friday, January 27.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Police confirmed that on Friday evening, February 3, 2012 U.S. Coast Guard had located the catamaran, which was captained by missing man Paul Stoutt, upside down drifting approximately 20 miles south of Vieques, Puerto Rico. No one was sighted in or around the vessel however a search is still being carried out in the surroundings waters.

According to a police press release, they are continuing to investigate circumstances surrounding the disappearance of three boaters including 41-year-old Stoutt of the Towers, West End and Manolo Anderson of Dominican Republic who reportedly left the territory over a week ago on a 26-foot power catamaran.

Neither relatives nor friends have heard from Stoutt or Manuel who was reportedly last seen leaving the Territory on Thursday, January 26 onboard the catamaran. The men were accompanied by a third boater whose name is still unknown.

Persons who may have any information that could help in this investigation are asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Unit at 494-3822.
