UPDATE: Jason Potter Jr aka 'Thug' identified as man shot dead @ Greenland
We are satisfied that the next of kin has been identified, hence the release of the name of the victim.
Police have begun their investigation into the murder of Mr Potter Jr.
There have now been four fatal shootings in the [British] Virgin Islands for 2022.
Jaquan Thomas was fatally shot in Little Apple Bay on January 30, Le’Shaughn A. Smith was shot dead at Huntums Ghut on February 24, and Corey Butler was fatally shot near Scatliffe Alley on June 21.

Man reportedly shot dead @ Greenland
Information reaching our newsroom around 2:00 am on August 5, 2022, is that a man was fatally shot at Greenland, on the eastern end of Tortola last night.
It is unclear at this time what led to the shooting.
"Police can confirm that one male is dead following a shooting incident in the Greenland area. Further details will be provided as they become available," Police Media Liaison Diane L. Drayton stated this morning.
