UPDATE - HLSCC staff pleads guilty to stealing $277 worth of goodies
However, Andrew Turnbull pleaded not guilty to criminal trespass, which Senior Magistrate Valerie Stephens found to be contradicting - unless the bookstore was opened at the time he took the items. But his lawyer, Herbert McKenzie, asked that his plea remains not guilty.
According to the indictment, Turnbull allegedly stole the items between December 25 and 31, 2011. The items were worth $277.90.
Meanwhile, Crown Counsel Janice Potter informed the court that the Crown was taking a “course of action”, and asked for a date when the particulars of the case will be read and McKenzie can mitigate for his client.
In light of this, the defendant has to return to court on April 30, 2012 at Prospect Reef.
