UPDATE: Grace! Tropical Storm Warning lifted for VI
And, according to the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) this morning, August 15, 2021, Grace remains disorganised as it approaches Puerto Rico
It said heavy rainfall across the Lesser and Greater Antilles remains a primary threat over the next few days.

According to DDM, at 5:00 am, the center of Tropical Storm Grace was located near latitude 16.9 North, longitude 64.4 West.
“Grace is moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph (26 km/h). A continued west-northwestward motion at a slower forward speed is expected over the next few days.
“Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is expected before Grace reaches Hispaniola on Monday. Weakening is forecast as the system crosses Hispaniola Monday and Monday night. Little change in strength is expected on Tuesday,” DDM stated.
Currently, tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the centre and the estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb (29.83 inches).

UPDATE: Tropical Cyclone Seven strengthens to Tropical Storm Grace
As the Virgin Islands (VI) continues to be on a Tropical Storm watch as a result of the potential dangers of a tropical system moving across the Caribbean, Tropical Cyclone seven has now strengthened to Tropical Storm Grace.
This is according to information coming out from the Virgin Islands (VI) Department of Disaster management which stated that as of today, Saturday, August 14, 2021, data show that Tropical Storm Grace has more than 40mph winds.
Storm expected over VI on Sunday
On the current forecast track, the center of Grace is expected to move over the Leeward Islands Saturday night, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Sunday, and the Dominican Republic on Monday.
Tropical Storm Grace became the seventh named storm of the season on Saturday.
Weakening is expected early next week as the system interacts with the Greater Antilles CNN has reported.

VI placed on TS Watch over Tropical Cyclone Seven
-residents urged to make preparations ahead of possible storm arrival on Sunday
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Virgin Islands (VI) has been placed on a Tropical Storm watch as a result of the potential dangers of Tropical Cyclone Seven as it gradually approaches the Territory.
This was revealed in an update today, Friday, August 13, 2021, by the Virgin Islands (VI) Department of Disaster Management (DDM). A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours.
System forecasted to pass VI by Sunday - Governor Rankin
Governor John J. Rankin, CMG in a statement this afternoon said on the current forecast track, this system is expected to pass closely to the south of the VI on Sunday at a Tropical Storm strength.
"Once again, we should all be on high alert in case the forecast changes. Here in the BVI, it seems likely that we may see impacts such as rain, high seas, coastal flooding, and tropical storm-force winds," he said.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) in a separate statement, warned persons in the territory to prepare, by doing any repairs or other preparedness measures ahead of Sunday.
"I urge you to complete them today and tomorrow ahead of the system’s expected passage near us on Sunday. Please do this work safely, and all those doing construction or development should ensure to secure their materials afterward."
Meanwhile, the DDM in an update said the Tropical Depression is moving quickly westward. It said at 8:00 PM tonight, the center of Tropical Depression Seven was located near latitude 15.6 North, longitude 53.1 West.

“The depression is moving quickly toward the west near 22 mph (35 km/h). A motion toward the west or west-northwest with a gradual decrease in forwarding speed is expected during the next few days,” the DDM said.
On the forecast track, the center of the depression will move over the Leeward Islands on Saturday night and over the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Sunday, and then over the Dominican Republic on Monday.
The DDM said maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts with some strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm tonight or on Saturday.
A tropical storm watch is also in place for the USVI and Puerto Rico including Vieques and Culebra.
