One dead following shooting in Long Look
A shooting in the Long Look area of Tortola this afternoon, November 17, 2016 has left one dead, according to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online.
The shooting incident allegedly took place some time before 6:00 P.M.
According to reports, the body of the man killed is still on the ground.
Virgin Islands News Online has the name of the deceased but will not disclose until next of kin has been informed.
Efforts to get further information on the fatal shooting from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) were unsuccessful up to time of publication.
The killing brings back gruesome memories of the shooting death of Cornel Melbourne Francis' who was gunned down on the night of May 9, 2013 while at The Stickett in the Long Look community. Four men clothed in black allegedly dealt him several shots in clear view of others. At the time he was said to be in the company of a few friends who were forced to flee the scene as the gruesome drama unfolded.

Mr/Miss English lesson.
Imagine all those comments on the "error" about "era", while young lives are being wasted. Young people, think about what you are doing to yourselves, your families, your friends and to the whole community.

The Virgin Islands Culture for Community, Respect, and Order is spiraling downwards in Dysfunction; and if not dealt with soon, will fester to areas we least expect (affecting the innocent, our economy and livelihood, etc). The murders of Nickera Smith and the others before her have not been solved and we are here adding to the body count in our little square miles island.
I'm with wize up on this one- LEADERSHIP MATTERS. And as Political Observer continues to emphasize at this time- “The ship needs to be taken off the reef before it completely falls apart.” Our elected leaders seem to be too busy doing what they do. So the question is- Who else among us is up to the task?
Young man may you soul rest in eternal peace. In time, the killer shall be killed. It's called KARMA
What goes around, comes around,
