UPDATE: Digicel restores fibre service in Paraquita Bay

PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI – Telecommunications provider Digicel in a statement today, July 20, 2024, has informed its customers in the Paraquita Bay area that a damaged cable has since been repaired and all services have been restored to normal.

This company in a statement from the VI office earlier today had said that the damage to the cable affected customers on its Digicel+/FTTH service in the area. 

Digicel has since apologized for the inconvenience caused.

Cable damage cuts Digicel fibre service for customers in Paraquita Bay 

PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI – Customers who subscribe to Digicel’s internet and television services via fibre in the Paraquita Bay area are currently experiencing a disruption in their service as a result of a damaged cable today Saturday, July 20, 2024. 

The Telecommunications provider in a statement has since advised its customers in the area that the cable break will affect Digicel+/FTTH users however, technicians are on site and are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

“We apologise for the inconvenience to your service. You are important to us, and we will always work our hardest to provide you with the best service,” Digicel added.

The company also thanked customers for their patience and understanding.
