UPDATE: Courtny Bascombe 6th in 60M Final @ World Masters Athletics Indoor

ALACHUA COUNTY, Florida, USA - In a historic moment for team Virgin Islands (VI), Courtny Bascombe finished 6th in the finals of the 60M World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships on March 25, 2025.

Bascombe clocked 7.21 seconds in the event held in Alachua County, Florida.

This is the first time the VI is participating at the World Masters Indoor Championships.

Bascombe is also slated to contest the Men's 200M.

Courtny Bascombe reaches final @ World Masters Athletics Indoor

The Virgin Islands, through Courtny Bascombe, is in the Men's 60M Final at the World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships being held in Alachua County, Florida.

Bascombe had a phenomenal 3rd place finish in his heat of the 60M semi-finals with a time of 7.22s, narrowly missing an automatic qualifier spot by 0.01s.

Nevertheless, as one of the fastest non-automatic qualifiers, Bascombe is in the final slated for 10:00 AM today, Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Bascombe is also set to compete in the 200M.

Katrina Lindsay to contest 10K

Also representing the Virgin Islands at the World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships is Katrina Lindsay, who will contest the Women's 10K.

This is the first time the Virgin Islands is represented at the World Masters Indoor.

    Sooooooooooooooooooo you know it's a lot of people participating in the Olympics representing a country that they were not born in because that's where they train or the team of the country that sponsored them. Educate yourselves @not right and @WOW....You all sound like you are not exposed to anything but the BVI. Expose yourself to other things than the local stuff and ratchet content on the internet. Reading a book or two or three won't hurt me either.
