UPDATE: Case should have never been brought against Walwyn- Attorney Williams
He said it was clear from the get-go that the evidence was weak and they were looking for things that were not there.
Mr Williams noted that the prosecutor should have known better and dared to inform the police that the evidence was flimsy.
Speaking on the Commission of Inquiry (CoI), he noted that it is clear that no big bang came out of the CoI; however, to save face, the commissioners asked the police to investigate things that produced no evidence. The Walwyn case, he said, was an example of this.
Mr Williams said the issue of breach of trust must be proven and what the prosecutor presented fell way below the threshold of breach of trust.
When pressed about the other cases he is defending, he declined to comment and said “we will wait on the outcome and the judicial process”.

What’s particularly telling is the silence from Hon. Walwyn, who has not spoken out against the COI when it targets those on the other side of the political aisle. This kind of selective outrage only serves to divide us further, making it easier for external powers to exploit these divisions. History repeatedly shows that when people allow themselves to be fractured by internal disputes, they effectively hand over power to those waiting to capitalize on their disunity.
