VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- An armed robbery of a male high school student on Virgin Gorda on Thursday, January 18, 2024, led to the discovery of 2 firearms and marijuana and the arrest of several persons at a location on the sister island.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, the school child was robbed of several items, including his iPad, cellphone, and Air pods.

The robbers also allegedly demanded a Gucci Chain, which the school child had borrowed from a friend that day but had already returned.

The robbery was promptly reported to police and investigators were able to track the victim’s cellphone to a location where 2 firearms, a quantity of marijuana, and other items were recovered.

Several persons were then arrested, including a school child.

Drug bust allegedly made on VG; Persons held

Word reaching our news centre is that Police made a drug bust on Virgin Gorda yesterday, January 18, 2024.

Information is sketchy; however, our news centre understands persons were held and that a school child was also involved.

It is unclear exactly what type of drugs were recovered and how much.

Police sources have confirmed reports of a drug bust but have stopped short of giving details.

We will continue to work on the details for this story.

      These knuckleheads will never learn. It is pass greed. There are EYES watching. It goes back to if you are not doing anything illegal or shady you have nothing to worry about. However, alway be vigilant and aware of your surroundings at all times.
