UPDATE: 2 males & 1 female charged with firearms/ammunition offences
Spooner’s Estate residents Ramone David, 38, Blugh Mongra, 39, both natives of Trinidad, and Renia Fahie, 39, were each charged with keeping an unlicenced firearm, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) stated in a press release on May 26, 2023.
David was charged additionally with two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Two arrested yesterday were released pending further investigations.

The early morning operation led by the RVIPF detectives resulted in the seizure of four firearms including two high-powered weapons, a significant amount of ammunition and the arrest of five persons.

High powered weapon among 4 firearms seized in police raid; 5 arrested
An early morning operation led by Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) detectives today, May 25, 2023, resulted in the seizure of four firearms including a high-powered weapon, a significant amount of ammunition and the arrest of five persons.
This is according to the RVIPF in a press release this afternoon, May 25, 2023.
Three males and two females are presently in police custody.
Raid conducted on 2 residences in Spooner's Estate
According to the RVIPF, several divisions within the Force participated in the search conducted on two residences in Spooner’s Estate.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
“The RVIPF is continuing to do its part to reduce the number of illegal firearms on the streets of the Territory and individuals in possession of these weapons and is appealing to persons with information on suspected persons or the locations where these firearms are being held,” the RVIPF stated in the press release.
It said persons can confidentially call the CrimeStoppers line 800-8477 (TIPS) or overseas call 1-284-800-8477 with the relevant information or contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

Next get a infrared camera pointed out to sea that would help cut down on smuggling. As it stands a boat entered west end last night speeding with no lights. obviously smugglers. Been a while. Guessing east end isn’t working for them since that last helicopter chase and arrest.
