They need to arm each of the police officers rather than having them walking around with a taser and a baton saying halt in the name of the king. These days are long gone. Then the officers will feel safer to patrol all over more often.

Most people agree with you but the Governor and his UK Commissioner of police are against arming all police officers so there lies the problem. What they need to do other than arming the police officers is to pay them equal salaries to those white police officers from the UK. This is demoralizing to the police force. We have plenty good police officers but Poor management is killing the productivity of the police force and thereby its ability to adequately and consistently fight crime.

Arming some of those individuals who supposedly represent RVIPF will only contribute to more citizens being harmed or killed. The mentality of some is not capable of handling a simple incident with out loosing their composure.

You will only see them if their color gets shot which we do not wish on any race but the truth is the truth. No one should ever blame the police for crime but this commissioner of police is a complete waste of time. He is not proactive and when he is he is not consistent. He is more concern about going after anyone from their preauthoured and predetermined COI so their plot can have a chance to be successful. If he does his job without any agenda and stop dividing the force he would be more effective.

They are responsible. They had the opportunity to take this place over and fix it. Then hand it back to us. If they did we won't have all these issues with guns and drugs and human violations, oppression and corruption.

They cannot get crime and gun violence fixed in the UK so how the hell you expect them to do it anywhere else. They took over Turks and since then the economy and serious crimes have gotten worse. People like you believe in them but you know not what you are saying. They are helping the economy to get worse with some of those unreasonable COI recommendations which making the rich richer and the poor poorer.

anyone that is currently behind bars, know exactly what they did to get them there. It's individuals like you who continue to support their crime and wrong doing why we in the current situation. Governor and Britian has nothing to our current live of crime.

it's we the local who have family member we know they are not living life as a proper citizen but yet turn a blind, and when they get lock up and die we want to cry wolf and go casting blame on someone else.

I was once locked up and that moment change my life and i made a promise i will not go back to such place ever in my life. which means making sure i dont get involve with certain people who are involved in crime. I was not place in the grand hotel here we does house these inmates.

We all wanted to blame the COP for calling this place a crime and drugs place. But truly Tola is not to far from it.

In fact i believe we need a much bigger place to house the inmates and also need to start transfer some from the BVI to the UK

It is not everyone in jail guilty or bad so your position is not accurate. Some got sold out by their lawyers for different reasons with one being they could not afford to continue to pay to defend themselves. This is not as cut and dry as you are stating.

I wonder what Hon Lavity Stoutt would have said. Hon Ralph O'Neal. Any good leader. We need a good leader. Everything points back to leadership. UK liked us at one point because there was a relationship with our good leaders. People chose to do good at one point because they were influenced by our good leaders. Education was good, infrastructure was good, sense of community was good. The root was good and so, the branches and fruit were also good. The people in the country caused this mess. They had the power to choose a good leader. They chose envelope, free cruise and assinninnity. Clap for yourselves and give yourself a pat on the back. This is your doing. I do not want to hear anything about UK or Sowande. YOU, the BVI people, caused this. Fix it yourself.

Let us go with your theory that money is what they want. Don't everybody want money? Most go about it the correct way though, no? Now, when you see leaders thiefing money and have no care or concern for the people and the country, why would the young people care about going about it the right way? Why? You know how many young people would say if the leaders can thief, why can't I? You know how many have that mindset? You do not know what you talking about if you do not realise that the seriously poor leadership has a direct influence on the questionable culture that is now unfolding in this little country.

The more authorities talk the less they do. The more gun shots and crime increaser. Criminal are no longer intimidate, or respected or afraid of the Police Caribbean countries are now using their soldiers to patrol and hunt down criminal in combination. Criminals are more afraid of soldiers. This is where being independent is good. You have your Army / Soldiers to enforce security and maintain peace safety..Still with being independent call for responsible and honest leadership.
