Don't worry the business people with the last name will pick out some to pay low wages. Send the rest back who can't read or write.

The Governor of this British Overseas Territory holds the Responsibility for the Security of the Border

No Firearms are made in this territory yet guns all over the villages

Bundles of Cocaine coming on Land. There is a Hole in Border Security

Human trafficking is on the increase these days so what is being done

One hope with the Opening of that Marine Base some of the Holes in Border Security can be mended

and the government proposes the budget and the HOA has final approval. Have you already forgotten how the previous Governor wanted to bring in the UK Navy to secure our borders during COVID-19 pandemic and the previous government blocked it and hired their colleagues' barges instead? Kindly remove your head from the sand.

Some of you post like you think we're a land locked continent to ourselves. Our borders are open waters with imaginary lines. We are a territory of very small islands surrounded by water and neighboring countries that don't have much currency and some don't have stable governments. People will do whatever they can to escape certain death where they are, have a heart and some level of understanding. Even Christ had to flee his homeland. There will always be illegal immigrants on the move, there's nothing anyone can do to stop that. Even here in our territory many local families were off on a Cay somewhere, Salt/Peter/etc and they moved to Tortola or VG, it's what people do.

watch and see the UK will limit the power of a BVI passport because the borders aren't secure and weak residency requirements

one of the illegals has gotten away with owning a bar in Carrot Bay and being 'lookout' for big cocaine and heroin sales behind the place. But he himself can't cook.

If this was a true concern for the UK they would apply pressure to have this issue addressed. During COVID the security council said that it would look into purchasing radar systems. What happened to those plans? The National Security Council no longer barks and it certainly has no bite. Until we prove that we are serious, it will only get worse.
