UMI Funky Friday Fashion features 'Moms'
These were showcased yesterday afternoon May 8, 2015 on the runway at the frontage of UMI Fashion Store in Road Town. It was titled "Super Moms and Models Fashion Show" and featured moms in the territory of all classes and statures.
Mainly two segments showcased a wide range of clothing available at UMI suited for mothers on Mothers' Day. They were ‘Dinner with Mom’ and ‘Garden brunch with Mom’.
Mom did not appear on the catwalk solo but in some cases it was mother and son, mother and daughter, mother, son and grandchildren and mother; and son, daughter, grandson and great grandchildren.
The latter included members of the territory's first family Mrs Lorna G. Smith and that of Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Mark H. Vanterpool. That Family feature also featured the number two man at the BVI Electricity Corporation Henry O. Creque.
Among others on stage displaying pieces available at UMI was Honourable Alvera Maduro-Caines.
The pieces displayed yesterday were just a drop in the ocean compared to the wide variety available in store and for those shoppers who took the opportunity to grab their pieces, they cashed in on discounts up to 50% store wide.
