TABERNACLE, St. Kitts & Nevis- Two men from Greenlands have been charged in connection with a break-in at the Tabernacle Forensic Lab that occurred earlier this year, police officials announced Monday.

Vernon Nias Jr. and Inon Nias were charged with Building Breaking with Intent for the October 2, 2023 incident. Vernon Nias Jr. was charged on December 18 at the Basseterre Police Station, while Inon Nias was charged the following day.

For Inon Nias, this latest charge adds to a string of serious allegations he already faces this year. He was previously charged with multiple offenses including possession of ammunition, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and two separate murder charges in connection with the deaths of Shacquille Chumney and Jimmy Allen.

The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force acknowledged the public's support in a statement, expressing "sincere gratitude to the general public for their continued cooperation" in maintaining law and order throughout the federation's communities.
