Treston Brown guilty of traffic offences
This time he was placed before the court for the use of cellphone without the aid of a hands free device and at the same time not wearing a seat belt on May 9, 2014 in Road Town.
When he appeared before Magistrate Dr. Velon L. John he pleaded guilty to the charges. But when asked if he had anything to say before the Magistrate made his decision, Brown told the court that he had asked the female traffic officer for leniency. “I asked her to work with me and she agree to give me a break,” he told the court.
He said that the officer agreed to work with him and did not give him a ticket but subsequently received a summon days before Friday last instructing him to appear in court for the offenses.
“But are you guilty?” asked the Magistrate to which Brown responded, “Yes” and he was fined $200 for each offense to be paid immediately or he would have to spend seven days in prison.
