'Tis the season to be jolly'- Opposition Leader Hon Julian Fraser RA
In his Holiday Greetings, Hon Fraser said Government has many strengths to draw from, the greatest of which should be its conscience, to do right by the people they have sworn to serve.
Nevertheless, Hon Fraser said he believes the Virgin Islands is still in a good place, especially since in 2017 the holidays were completely wiped out by Hurricanes Irma and Maria and the 2018 holidays were dampened by the effects of the hurricanes, while the 2020 and 2021 Christmas holidays were ruined by COVID-19.
‘Tis the season to be jolly’
“Thank God this year, 2022, we are blessed with having full relaxation of COVID-19 protocols, including the masks, plus a very quiet hurricane season, good weather and the opportunity to travel free of any inconveniences.”
Hon Fraser said while the VI is still seeing signs that vividly remind of Irma and Maria those cannot stop people from celebrating the season.
“Fellow Virgin Islanders, tis the season to be jolly, so go on and deck the halls with boughs of holly and sing ye joyous and together.
We have once again been given the opportunity to freely travel and congregate but we must police ourselves in order to make sure it stays that way.”
Additionally, Hon Fraser said his heart is with the sick shut-ins and those mourning the loss of loved ones, even at this time of the year.

When a person is empowered that is a life support. What you are trying to preach is to make the country a welfare state and that will not sustain itself. Go and sit down.
