Peters said the diversity of projects, active learning, and providing visual solutions for clients is something he enjoys the most. When asked about challenges in the field, Camroy responded with an unequivocal “What challenge?”
Our Young Professional added he initially entered the field of filmmaking over a desire to tell more Caribbean stories and see more Caribbean people on-screen at a quality comparable to international markets.
That passion has taken him through filmmaking roles like a Runner, Director, and even a Producer across a number of projects and campaigns.
Mr Peters said if he would have chosen another career, however, it would be in Aeronautical engineer, a Pilot or even an Architect. He detailed however, that would still pursue being a Pilot in a private capacity.
Life lessons
Meanwhile, in a conversation about life lessons, Mr Peters said one thing he has learned over the years is about trusting in people, “People will always let you down, but you can’t hold on to that. Eventually, there will be those who meet you along the journey and the teamwork and vision will align. Your next achievement is waiting on you,” he said.
With a busy schedule and big dreams, Camroy says knowing the path he wants and knowing that he can achieve his goals one action at a time, keeps him focused.
He said ultimately, he wants to see his work Influence and inspire the region and wider diaspora as well as the need for him to continue making noteworthy visual projects.
As a serial entrepreneur, he said he also operates a clothing brand called based at caribbeanculture.net which is about celebrating cultural essence through fashion, highlighting the power of representing Caribbean heritage.
Parting advice
