Contributions
“Mr Malone contributed to the Virgin Islands in many ways. Namely, Mr Malone, along with his friend H. Lavity Stoutt whom he admired for his desire and drive to become a leader in his country, worked hard with a number of friends to develop a practical vision for political advancement of the Virgin Islands. On March 2, 1971, with the Honourable H. Lavity Stoutt as Chairman, Mr Randolph “Mose” Malone as President, Ms Naomi Turnbull as General Secretary, Honourable Terrance B. Lettsome, Mr Joseph Skelton, Mr Eurman Fahie, Mr Donald Pickering and Mr Leopold Smith, the Charter Document and the Constitution of the Virgin Islands Party was signed. The rest is history.”
Hon Fahie said the entire Virgin Islands' family is deeply saddened by the loss of this “great, native son. Fond memories are what we will always have to remember our dearly departed businessman, father, nation builder and child of God.”
The VIP Chairman added that out of respect for the passing of “one of our founding fathers, Mr Malone,” the Virgin Islands Party's social that was set for Thursday December 29, 2016 at the R & R Malone Complex at Pockwood Pond is postponed until further notice.
“As Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party, I would like to extend sincere condolences to the family of one of our beloved founders, Mr Randolph 'Mose' Malone, especially his children Mr Carvin Malone (Our Immediate Past President), Meade, Keith, Guy, Jane, Jackie and the late Angel Malone.
