Terms 'Belonger & Virgin Islander' causing division in VI- Cindy Rosan
While co-hosting the July 12, 2022, edition of "Da International Morning Braff" radio show on Tola Radio 100.5 FM, Rosan said two levels of citizenship, in addition to the local residency status, are fuelling deep divisions among the people of the territory.
“The problem is creating two levels of citizenship in the territory, which created to me two levels of humanity, to me, it goes that deep.”
“If you are deemed to belong to the Virgin Islands, you’re a Virgin Islander. If there are special things that Virgin Islanders with lineage should have, which every country does, outline it in the constitution,” she said.
Belongers are Virgin Islanders - Cindy Rosan
Rosan added that on the level of the constitution, VI citizenship should not be divided between Belongers and Virgin Islanders since, according to her, persons belonging to the VI are already Virgin Islanders.
She illustrated that Americans don’t say anything besides Americans when it comes to citizenship, and the VI should be the same with Virgin Islanders.
“The division even continues within Government offices when you have to fill out a form and they asking are you are Belonger or a Virgin Islander or a resident,” she added.
She said the confusion surrounding this status is creating and pushing deep divisions and something has to be done. “We have to get it right, as we move into redoing our constitution.”
Special privileges for Virgin Islanders with lineage
Rosan is now advocating for the removal of the word Belonger from the Constitution and be replaced with just Virgin Islander, however, she is supporting special privileges for Virgin islanders with lineage.
“If you are deemed to belong to a the Virgin Islands, you should be considered a Virgin Islander. If you deemed to belong to a place, how you can tell me you are a Virgin Islander and I am a belonger?’ she questioned.

What Passport does a "Belonger" hold?
Can Ms. Rosan answer those questions, and explain her response?
We prefer to define ourselves instead of accepting the labels given to us by wicked people who call themselves "white", which most clearly are not. So instead of accepting the intentionally offensive labels of "Nigg*r" or "black" we use the term "Afro, or "African". I prefer Afro, it is easier to say. Afro-British sounds less ridiculous than African- British. But more importantly, these labels are ours by choice.
Who cares what this cra** girl thinks?
Her connection and inolvement in the latest pot stirring( leaked unfinishedvideo)leaves open questions about
her integrity motives and sincerity regarding the VI and its survival as we know it.
The real problem in the VI is immigration and its resulting current demographics. A majority population imported and installed with nothing to offer but human misery acvkmpanied with the prolific unbridled reproduction of their flawed dna.
Why others feel that they have entitlement when they come to the BVI but yet they constantly bashing Our People.
While you trying to put everyone on par with the Virgin Islander fix these

Personally, I think 70 years would be more appropriate.
Check back with me when I'm 108 in case I've changed my mind.
Cindy Rosan, coming next general election if you compete for a seat as a political candidate,
especially in the 7th electorial district, the majority of the voters will not support you as their leader. If you run as an at large candidate, your vote count will also be too insufficiently too low. You are too selfishly politically unstable, rather than humble, in my honest opinion.
(Like or dislike.)
our respected and woman of the soil Ms P. "It is your opinion, keep it to yourself!"
A Virgin Islander to the Nth generation
U believe when the uk return to this location they give a muck who belong or who born here—black is black under the microscope of those European

Youngg children that are born here and have a birtht certifi ate for bvi but because there Parents are not from bvi are bvislander. Where u born is where u from. How can u have a birth certficate for a country and cant belong. This place is crazy it reminds me how vincent wheatley thinks.
I agree with Cindy. Buttttt Im also born here. I decide not to renew my BVI passport YEARSSSSS AGO since the UK passport carries wayyy more weight. F*** the BVI and their stupid identity crisis !!!!!! THis is the most backward country Ive ever came accross !!!!!!!!!
It is offensive and makes constitutionally clear the BVI's attitude to the large body of residents who do so much for the BVI economy but do not belong.
