Tennis players set to descend on Necker Island for Pro Am Necker Cup
The Tournament, which is slated to run from December 9-13, 2012, is billed as the world’s most exclusive Pro-Am and will be held on Sir Richard Branson’s private island. It will also coincide with the Rosewood Little Dix Bay Legends Tennis Camp hosted by Grand Slam doubles winners, Luke and Murphy Jensen.
“I am delighted to bring a Pro-Am tennis event to Necker,” said Mike Richards, Director of Tennis at Necker Island and Co-Founder of the Necker Cup.
Each evening will end with a unique cocktail and dinner experience concluding an “End of the World” awards dinner, party and auction on December 12, 2012 at Rosewood Little Dix Bay where the participants will have a chance to meet with Sir Richard and mingle with the past and current tennis stars. One hundred percent of all donations from the auction will benefit Virgin Unite, the National Tennis Foundation and other ATP and WTA player charities.
Remington Reynolds, CEO of Premier Tennis Travel commented, “The Rosewood Little Dix Bay Legends Camp will give players of all skill levels the chance to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in the world of tennis.”
In addition to the tennis, Sir Richard will participate in a leadership retreat where Necker Cup participants will get to hear from one of the world’s most successful businessmen, as well as other social, sports and business icons.
Life Time is the Necker Cup’s first confirmed partner and will be offering anyone the opportunity to attend this world class exclusive event through the Life Time Necker Cup Challenge. This tournament will be held in eight U.S. markets and will implement the Premier Tennis Handicap Scoring System that literally gives anyone the opportunity to win. The winning team of the Life Time Necker Cup Challenge will earn one of the team spots in the Necker Cup and will get to experience Necker Island, meet Sir Richard and some of the greatest tennis stars in the world.
Sir Richard will join eight current and former ATP and WTA legends to pair up with eight amateur teams of all levels. A handicapped scoring format will be used, making it competitive tennis for all tennis levels. Teams consist of one pro and up to two amateurs. Teams compete to win their bracket and earn a chance to play in the Necker Cup Final.

Can you read ? It name Pro Am Necker Cup not Pro Am Tortola Cup!!
Plus, we don't have a proper court on Tortola !!!
The man promoting his island! Let the BVI Touristboard learn how to promote our islands from bringing piss like Wendy aka Shemale!
This is not big news. The BVI really gets nothing from this! Notice the organizers aren't mentioning the BVI at all? They said that they are happy to bring the tournament where?...to Necker NOT to the BVI. When Branson does his promotions, he makes it seem like Necker Island is not a part of the BVI. He rarely ever mentions the BVI. Those players will never set foot on Tortola or VG except for the ting at Lil Dix. Branson does nothing to give back to or to benefit this country. He just takes, takes, takes. Only when it benefits him do we hear him talking about BVI. Like when he wanted to bring in the monkeys. All of a sudden he got us (the other set of monkey) riled up to support his cause. You never hear of him bring groups of kids to tour his islands, or contributing to the local education system or any other charity. He rather go all over the world and do his "charities" there. Meanwhile we don't get spit! Fail him!
