Teenager Kyle Rittenhouse arrested, charged for Kenosha shootings

KENOSHA, Wisconsin, USA -A teenager identified as Kyle Rittenhouse has been arrested and charged with homicide on Wednesday after gunfire killed two people and wounded a third during protests over the police shooting of a Black man in Kenosha, Wisconsin, court officials said.

The lakeside city has been rocked by civil unrest since Sunday, when police shot Jacob Blake, 29, in the back at close range. That incident, captured on video, has reignited protests over racism and police use of force in the United States.

The violence prompted some elected officials to call for a reinforcement of National Guard troops or the deployment of federal law enforcement officers.

Rittenhouse, 17, was arrested on a warrant in Illinois and charged with first-degree intentional homicide in Kenosha, a Lake County court official said.

Teen arrested 

Earlier on Wednesday, Commander Norman Johnson of the Antioch Police Department said Rittenhouse - whose identity was not released at the time due to his being a minor - was arrested on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide.

Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis confirmed a 17-year old from Antioch, Illinois was in custody in another state. 

"What I can't tell you is what led to that disturbance, what led to use of deadly force," Miskinis said.

Miskinis said the events surrounding Blake's shooting were being investigated by the criminal division of the Wisconsin Department of Justice "to give it the outside view" and that he had no knowledge of the investigation as mandated by Wisconsin law and procedure.

Shocking Events 

Two people were killed on Tuesday night in an attack carried out by a young white man, alleged to be Rittenhouse, who was caught on cellphone video opening fire in the middle of the street with a semi-automatic rifle.

"I just killed somebody," the person could be heard saying at one point during the shooting rampage that erupted just before midnight.

One victim was shot in the head and the other in the chest, Sheriff David Beth told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A third person suffered gunshot wounds not believed to be life-threatening.

    It never ceases to amaze me how racism and hated can be allowed. I remember when 911 happened in the good ole USA. White people were yelling "We're Americans man and have to stick together". As soon as the shock wore off, the KKK and White Supremacists were back to their dirty tricks again, touting hatred against their fellow Americans. Most people are good and would love to enjoy life happily forever. This is the wish of the majority of the world. When you have racist supremacist, narcissistic, hateful, unhappy, mentally deficient people, who want to dominate the world, by stepping on billions of people to make them their stepping stones, then this becomes a problem. I cannot understand how the majority of people, can stand by doing nothing, until it affects their livelihood and peace. They are angry at the innocent ones being attacked and killed, instead of stopping the abusers, that will surely turn on them, who are the poorer of their own kind, and then it will be too late to turn the tables, because you waited too long. Will this unnatural human behavior continue until the end of the world, or will outside forces intervene, forcing America to stop their tiring inhumane SHIT? People are not standing idly by anymore, but what do you do against a corrupt, racist government with the strongest military power? I say fight for your freedom till the death. But the richer ones who have manipulated their own mentally weak to do their dirty work, will no longer want them around either, and the poor Whites will then be the SLAVES and downtrodden....oops, too late then. GET IT! Wake up White America, your next generation of children will suffer tremendously...and it will be your fault. Love and Peace for everyone.
