Teachers challenged to ensure they reach every child
“Some people blossom late,” noted Hon Fahie, “that’s why it’s important teachers that when you are teaching the children you ensure that you reach them. You could be eliminating the solutions for your country by not reaching them,” he added.
Hon. Fahie took time out to tell the story of his life and revealed that he was a product of a neglected education system. He added that if it was not for the determination of his mother he would not have been at the level he is today.
The former Minister for Education and Culture said today he does his best for youth. “It has nothing to do with being elected. Even if I am not elected I would do the same thing because it’s not on me, it’s not something I do for a show. It’s something in me because I want to see everybody fulfil their purpose,” he told the gathering of students and parents.
Reportedly having a rough beginning, Hon. Fahie said no one should allow persons to attempt to rewrite their beginning. “Nobody can’t rewrite your beginning, don’t let nobody remind you how you start, I don’t care what mistake you make, you can’t rewrite your beginning, what happened happened,” he emphasised.
“Even if you fail and had to repeat a class once or twice that is no problem. Never give up because you are responsible for writing your ending,” he added.
