TB Lettsome Airport partially reopens for limited flights
Effective June 2, 2020, Silver Airways/Seaborny will fly from San Juan to Beef Island on Thursdays and Sundays; VI Airlink will fly from St. Thomas to Beef Island beginning June 4th, 6th and 7th at 1pm & 4 pm and departures are scheduled for June 8th, 11th, 13th, & 14th from 4:00pm.
Cape Air and Liat will also be allowed to fly, however, services remain suspended until June 17, 2020 and June, 30 2020, respectively.
Cabinet had previously decided that from June 2 up to June 15, 2020, the first priority will be given to the re-entry of nationals, belongers, holders of permanent residence and naturalised citizens.
Acting Managing Director, Mr Clive Smith noted, “persons returning home are required to book their travel directly with the carrier of choice by contacting them directly or through their respective websites.”
Mr Clive added that travellers will also be required to ensure that the requisite entry registration is finalized with the Ministry of Health prior to returning home.
Mandatory Quarantine
As part of the phased border reopening, Deputy Premier and Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon Carvin Malone (AL) had announced that persons arriving in the territory would also be subjected to mandatory quarantine.
“In simple terms, this means that every person coming into the territory will be subject to health screening on arrival, ongoing monitoring during a 14-day mandatory quarantine period and testing to confirm their COVID-19 status, albeit hopefully negative,” Malone said.
He said once approved, persons may be allowed to quarantine at home or in alternate private accommodations rather than opting to be placed in a government quarantine facility for the duration of the 14 days period.

i hope so as well because a substantial number of arriving passengers will be coming from infected countries: hope the quarantine process will be enforced because enforcement of legislation is an issue in our territory: who footing the bill for those being hosted at various faculties; permit holders should foot their quarantine expenses some of them have so much chat about the territory and its people yet cant wait to come bvi
These people are being watched by security, they have no choice but to obey. Life must go on, but with precautions.
But good precaution. Thanks Hon. Andrew!
