ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – All roads led to the Queen Elizabeth II Park in Road Town for the Taste of Tortola held as part of the 2019 BVI Food Fete on November 9, 2019.
Hundreds of persons turned up at the venue to whet their taste buds, learn of the various cuisines available locally, familiarise themselves with the chefs and various restaurants and to share the tasty evening with family and friends.
Large participation of chefs
This year’s Taste of Tortola had close to 15 booths, with more than enough food for the large turnout of patrons, thanks to the various chefs, including chef Adrianne Calvo and Chef Chloe St Cy of Scrub Island Resort, Spa and Marina; Chef Kenneth Molyneuax of Tropical Fusion; Chef Kevin Leslie of Red Rock, Chef Brent Lettsome, Chef Ariq Flax, Chef Kevin Jones- Nyammin, Chef Thompson of Camdem Market and Chef Kenetha Ashton of Voyage charters.
The event also attracted participation from chefs of the National Culinary Team, Quito’s Gazbo, Village Cay, Omar’s Fusion and Yo Mamas Kitchen.
Chefs from the National Culinary Team, Chef Chloe St Cyr and Chef Adrianne Calvo treated patrons to live demonstrations.
Entertainment for the evening included performances by Akim Johnson on the steel pan, DJ Bertram, 3Gs, Bayside Moko Jumbies and Razor Blades.
