TAG vehicles destroyed by fire in Duff's Bottom

DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI—A fire destroyed several new vehicles belonging to Tortola Auto Group (TAG) at Duff's Bottom, Tortola early this morning, Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

It is unclear how the fire started; however, reports reaching our news centre are that firefighters and staff of TAG were promptly on the scene and managed to remove most of the vehicles from being damaged while firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze.

It is unclear at this time how many vehicles were destroyed.

The vehicles were being stored behind Island Department Store in Duff's Bottom.

    This is evil. What can be done to someone to drive them this mad...They need to understand, they are not hurting Tag. They are helping Tag. Insurance will pay everyone..its like a sale that never happen....My friend Shawn, pls get 6pm to 6am security...You have good X Police that will take $11.00 per hr. I am one.

      you asked and answered your own question, insurance will pay for everything , cars that weren't being sold , put away, and now they are gone but money will be in the bank...

    The first question I would have is, were there any electric vehicles in the lot ? They have been documented having combustion issues.

    Yes sah. perhaps we can hire you to man the flipping police station when you are off duty. Police here got 3-4 jobs and well know they weren't brought here to be doing that. You all got too many special privileges. Biggest pay rocking gold and still want more? At least tell us you think the station should be open 24/7.

    that are unsold must be stored on the seller''s property, preferably indoors in a warehouse so the buyers gets value for their money. Storing new vehicles outdoors in the weather on leased property with inadequate security makes them USED vehicles with much lower values.
