TADDY BAY, Virgin Gorda, VI- The Virgin Gorda International Airport (Taddy Bay Airport) on Virgin Gorda has been temporarily closed to all fixed-wing operations.

This closure is necessary to facilitate essential runway rehabilitation following recent heavy rainfalls, a press release from the Ministry of Communications and Works on November 1, 2024.

Officer in Charge, Ms. Diana D. Maduro said the closure is necessary as the heavy rains impacted operations at the airport.

While a reopening date was not disclosed, Ms Maduro assured the public that updates will be provided on the resumption of services.

“The BVI Airports Authority extends apologies for any inconvenience the closure may cause and is grateful to the traveling public for its patience during this crucial maintenance period,” the press release stated.
