Summer Sizzle BVI postponed until further notice
Mr Donovan announced the postponement of the 12th edition of the 4-day show via a press release today, May 27, 2020, stating that the postponement of the international event was done in the interest of keeping Virgin Islands residents, guests and patrons safe.
“Our decision comes after very close monitoring of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and advice from our partners in the British Virgin Islands,” Mr Donovan stated in the release.
“We look forward to welcoming you back to our shores once for Summer Sizzle BVI once the final dates are determined,” Mr Donovan added.
Inspire & Empower
Summer Sizzle BVI’s goal is to help inspire and empower creative youths in the community, offering them a platform in the areas of fashion, beauty and art.
Last year’s event saw a record 40 children taking the stage, presenting designs from Rochelle Ebanks out of the Cayman Islands, along with collections from Andrew Harris and Andrew Nowell.
The show has also attracted American celebrities as hosts, including English reality TV show personality, world-renowned photographer, former model, filmmaker and former judge of America’s Next Top Model Nigel Barker and American R&B artiste Jessica Jarrell.
