ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The world of high fashion converged at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex for the Global Glamour Runway Show on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

It was a fashion show indeed, but the models and their many designers had nothing on those in the audience who were dressed to kill.

The show is produced by local Terry T. Donovan, who is the Chief Creative Officer of his Signature brand and this is the 14th annual Summer Sizzle.

The guest host was Yaya DeCosta, an American actress and model.

The show was filled with life as there were local and international models from California, Project Runway and even a children's segment.

B is for Better- Yaya

The night was filled with who’s who from the local world of fashion. DeCosta praised the BVI saying the ‘B’ in BVI is for ‘Better’. On the runway was also local former NBA Player D’Moi M. Hodge, who captivated the ladies with his handsome look and manly personality.

The show lasted just under four hours but all concluded that it was worth the time and those in the front row and ultra First Class had the time of their lives.

The show sponsors included Virgin Islands News Online, The Government of the Virgin Islands, Long Bay Hotel and the Skelton Group of Companies, among many others.

Show was not ‘weak’, support was not at the level
expected due to the fiasco which was the Mis BVI show and that deterred patrons.

The show in of itself was of high caliber production.

Yes! It has a low attendance. Poor turn out. Nobody has all that money to give away. Plus, BVI people don't wear those kinds of clothing.
