While the Caribbean Community or CARICOM has been silent on ongoing political developments in St. Kitts Nevis, the political Leader of the Opposition United Workers Party in Saint Lucia has been speaking out on the subject.

Allen Chastanet wants a speedy resolution of the matter.

Opposition legislators in St. Kitts are seeking to force the Parliament to debate a motion of no confidence that was filed against the Government more than a year ago.

ALLEN CHASTANET -Calls for the intervention of CARICOM have gone largely unheeded, because of a suspected reluctance of leaders to get involved in what some see as sensitive internal political issues.
