The two were crowned at the Catholic Community Center in Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda on Sunday April 9, 2017.
In the Princess segment, Bascombe won Best Talent and Best Candy Land awards while in the Prince segment, Smith won Best Talent. The other participants Hayden Nickie, won Best Evening Wear and Carlos Martinez took Best Introduction award.
The four competed in Introductory, Talent, Creative and Evening/Formal Wear segments.
The show was held under the theme “Candy Land.”
Among prizes received were a day tour of St Thomas, US Virgin Islands, including visits to Magic Ice, Coral World, and The Butterfly Gardens in Charlotte Amalie.
A day trip to Anegada to explore the Fisherman’s Wharf, Faulkner House, the Conch Shell Mounds among other attractions were sponsored by the BVI Tourist Board’s Education Division.
A swim with the dolphins is also on the cards and a $250 gift certificate from VOICES and Hon Myron V. Walwyn, Minister for Education and Culture.
