VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Information just reaching our newsroom is that a small plane crashed at the Taddy Bay Airport on Virgin Gorda today, February 11, 2017.

It is not clear at this time what were the circumstances surrounding the incident: however, a photo shared with our newsroom shows the aircraft off the runway.

There were reportedly no injuries and it is unclear at this time how many persons were in the airplane at the time of the mishap.

BVI Airports Authority's (BVIAA) Director of Operations, Mr Coy Levons confirmed the incident to Virgin Islands News Online and said indeed there were no injuries but did not give any further information.

Virgin Islands News Online will provide more details as they come in.

    This is crazy. This is a trick airport that needs good pilots to land and take over. Wonder what really happen.

    Thank god no one was hurt. After all, all mechanical from time to time to act up with different results. Today's could have been worse . God is amazing each time regardless.

    Wow. Hope no one got injured. Could have been worst. The government need to look into the safety for all of us. I does feel fa dem people who live close the airport.gov should move dem from there. Dont wait fa something more serious happen. District 9 Rep .are u aware of incident.pls do yur work.

    i saw it live it was very scary, they are lucky that he aaimed for the fence and that it was strong enough to stop the plane

    Ive read the facts and i sure that we all no the situation is of high importance hoping that dey wil do something soon in regards to expansion. Tourism is also importa nt and we need to get our priorities straight.
