Controversy
The high-intensity and entertaining matchup was not without controversy.
Midway into the game, the coach of Ice Connection, Steve E. Parillon, discontinued his coaching duties due to what he alleged was “disrespect” from Ice Connection players. The owner of the team, William A. Penn aka ‘Ice Willy’, took over the coaching and was able to lead his side to a narrow victory.
Ice Connection’s title hopes have been boosted this year, with the inclusion of several players from St Thomas and St Croix.
