PURCELL ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Two vehicles sustained significant damage after being involved in an accident on James Walter Francis Drive dual carriageway this afternoon, Monday, September 14, 2026.

The two-vehicle accident took place around 5:20 PM on the westbound carriageway.

It is unclear what the circumstances leading up to the accident were; however, no serious injuries were reported.

Traffic was backed up for some distance as a result of the accident.

Police subsequently arrived on the scene to conduct their investigations.

    The driving here is getting far worse. Its lawless! People following too close / tailgating others which causes majority of these accidents. The police came out with all these new traffic rules but not enforcing them. I hardly see any police patrolling the roads when these idiots are driving. Please let us send in our dash cam videos.

      @Island man again. I have been driving a right-hand-drive car for years without any incident. No matter which side the wheel is on, there are complete idiots speeding and disregarding the rules of the road. All involved in this reckless driving are to blame, so stop coming on here with your nonsense about right-hand drivers. You sound like part of the problem if you can't see daily the disrespect drivers have for each other.
