Shots fired at Paragon, no arrests made - Police

FISH BAY, Tortola, VI – Police attached to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) are continuing investigations into a shooting incident which occurred in the compound of Paragon Night Club at Fish Bay.

The lawmen were summoned to the scene in the wee hours of Thursday morning, December 26, 2013 following reports of a hail of gunshots allegedly fired by a group of men who at this time remain unknown.

According Police Information Officer, Ms Diane Drayton, a number of spent shells were recovered from the scene but no one was reportedly injured. She also confirmed that no arrests were made up to press time.

Contacted earlier today, one of the proprietors of Paragon Club, Mr Nathan Wong, said sometime after 4:00 AM a fight had broken out in the club which was then taken outside. He told this news site that he was not aware of any gunshots being fired as he was on the inside and at the time he went outside, close to 5:00 AM, the fracas was under control as RVIPF Officers were already on the scene.

No details have emerged as to what fueled the alleged fight and shooting or the persons involved but all were grateful that there were no injuries or loss of life.

      qc; a number of white folk in our country have guns so you will not hear morris saying or doing much on this matter....the concern with me is the stupid black-on-black shootings....why would you want to shoot your own black-brother !!!!!...while we fight others come to our country and simply taking over......our young men are very happy to be sitting up in the jail house while other come here and work hard and establish great lives !!!!!

    Unknown group? Go check all dem boys on dem scooters. The bikes were as loud as the gunshots. 2 bikes were even chasing a boy in a white shirt who was running for his life in the direction of cedar school. People here always acting clueless. Unknown group my backside.
