Set It Off win 5th VG Summer Jam Championship
Set It Off, who won the series 3-1, were led by Ray D. Victor’s 24 points as he picked up his second basketball championship winners medal, after leading the West Gunners to the Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed League title back in November.
Victor added four steals to his night’s work, whilst Garvin Vanterpool finished with 14 points, Travis Isaac 13, Kennedy H. Bass 10 with 8 rebounds, Kitwana Rhymer 9 with 11 rebounds and Shamarr George 9 rebounds.
For Without A Doubt, Jevon K. Serrant had 26 points, Rudy Vanterpool 16, and Cedric King 12 with 12 rebounds.
Hi Speed & On A Mission level at 2 games apiece in C Division
In the “C” Division, Hi Speed stayed alive with a 49-40 points win in game four to level the series, 2-2, with On A Mission.
For Hi Speed, Jomoi Levons scored 14 points with 7 assists and 6 steals, Markell Thomas also notched 14 and Miquel Marshall made six steals.
On A Mission were led by Jilani Lennards’ 14 points and 6 rebounds. Khamani Caul had 9 points, Lincoln Forbes 6 and Tyreece Carrasco 6 with 11 rebounds.
Time to Wuk & Buzzer Beater 2-2 in B Division
The “B” Division is also tied at 2-2 in the best of five championship series after Time to Wuk beat Buzzer Beater 85-82 in game four.
Stephon Caul scored 32 points with 16 rebounds, Hakeem Penn 18, Kasean Wylie 10 with 6 rebounds and Requan Fahie 9 points for Time to Wuk.
Buzzer Beaters were led by 25 points from Franklyn Penn Junior, 22 from Deangelo Sampson and 12 from Jkwon Frett.
