‘Seed’ money for prayers & miracles not scriptural- Sandra Phillip-Hodge
Encourager of the Christian faith Sandra Phillip-Hodge has warned against the practice of sending money to persons for prayers and miracles and noted too that many scammers have been taking advantage of persons gullibility.
“This phenomenon has become prevalent since so-called prophets began soliciting funds from viewers and followers a good while back and has been successful at it, obtaining money from gullible people who send "seed" money for prayers and miracles, something that is completely unsupported by the Holy Scriptures, as Jesus never charged for His services,” Phillip-Hodge wrote on social media on Friday, July 21, 2023.
Churhfolks often targeted by scammers- Phillip-Hodge
She warned of persons connected to online ministries being targeted by scammers to send them money for all sorts of fictional causes, such as charities that do not exist.
“Unfortunately, the Church has supported this concept to a large extent, and it is only recently we see a push back against it by some church folks, after, other critics have been condemning the practice for years. People in the congregation have become accustomed to giving visiting prophets whatever they ask for because this is condoned by the church leaders.
Phillip-Hodge encouraged persons who believe their identity has been stolen to report it and do everything possible to protect their money.
“Alert your followers online that you are not the one requesting money and they should not send any money to the scammers.
“Deception and fraud have become prevalent in regards to cybercrime, tarnishing the name of reputable Ministries and every effort must be made to fight back.”
Phillip-Hodge also made it “abundantly clear” that she does not solicit money from anyone for any reason online.
“I have no money-collection accounts anywhere. And I do not sow ‘money’ (seeds) for any reason,” Phillip-Hodge stated.

You do not sow seeds money of any kind. You obviously do not know the principals of sowing and giving.. please tell me what else do you have to sow if not money. When you give an unfortunate person a dollar for a cup of coffee you have just sowed a dollar into that person life. You give you seed money an assignment.
Are you going to sow yam or sugar no you give your seed an assignment. Teach your people the word and allow them to manage their finances. There is nothing wrong with sowing a seed into other ministries but you have to ensure that the ground in which you sow is good ground so it can reap a harvest. Teach your people to sow into your ministry and others as well.
Do you think the white images of re-named Jesus from yaushua had long blond hair and blue eyes too? Your mind need decolonizing so to the bible word they made up after gathering documents in Africa an forming a book with English language too, such as "thee, thou" using even languages to colonized the world, decolonize Christianity my people and be free.
Scammers come in different form, not just obeah but in titled names like ($( who use that platform for social mobility, getting government contracts he is not qualify to perform and not perform in anyway but scam near a million dollar from the people postulating as a man of the cloth. The entire religious thing is an financial industry where mankind pray upon the insecurities of the people to relief them of their wealth, that industry was there during slavery keeping us well behave on the plantation and for planters to go give thanks and donations for the high yield of wealth they accumulated out of the labor of the beautiful black people.
